It is 15 hours local time, the plane on which are Dr. Denis Mukwege , his family landed at National Airport Kavumu in the province of South Kivu (about 38km from Panzi Hospital) .
Immediately descended from the device, the physician who devotes his life to treat thousands of women survivors of sexual violence is greeted by cries of joy of the inhabitants fields from several corners of the province of South Kivu. “It’s time to end the cycle of hatred and violence in the region of the great lakes, he adds.
Denis Mukwege thank women for their commitment have strengthened his conviction for the return of peace in the DRC, the international community and various stakeholders who are involved in a solution to the suffering of Congolese women.
