The Medical Director of Panzi Hospital, Dr Denis Mukwege, held an introduction about the current situation  in the area regarding SGBV and the holistic treatment for Survivors of Sexual Violence  at and outside  the hospital. During the following roundtable discussion challenges like the security accessibility to healthcare and the upcoming elections were highlighted.To get a better understanding of the SGBV programs in DRC the Under Secretary of State for Democracy and Global Affairs, Maria Otero, visited Panzi Hospital in October.
