In the Department of Pediatrics there are two specialists and a junior physician in training and who also has training in neonatology. The Pediatric department deals with all childhood and adolescence conditions such as growth problems, malnutrition, accidents and infections.

The neonatology unit provides critical treatment needed to increase the survival chances of prematurely born infants. 920 children were treated as inpatients during 2011.
