The Department of Surgery has two general surgeons, one who is also an orthopaedic surgeon, a pediatric surgeon, and an anaesthesiologist. Some surgeons are currently undergoing specialist training to gain further skills that will greatly assist their patients.

This department also includes an ENT-specialist, a specialist in dental surgery as well as two physiotherapists.

The services provided include all acute surgical, urological and orthopedic conditions including traumatology, burns and ear-nose-and throat conditions.

There were approximately 1000 hospitalized patients who received surgery in 2011.
