The Panzi hospital is affiliated to the Medical School and the Faculty of Medicine of the Université Evangelique in Afrique (UEA). For about 10 years the medical students of in their final year of studies have received clinical training at the hospital. However, from October 2012 the curriculum for the Medical School has been changed and now the students meet patients during the 4th year of studies for basic clinical skills training. During the subsequent years (5th and 6th ) progressively more clinical training will be completed. In the 7th year with the “médecine stagiere” duties will be undertaken before graduating from the Medical School with a diploma as physicians.

The specialists at the hospital also serve as teachers at the Medical School.
